Work-Related Injury
Medical Massage

If you’ve been injured on the job, your workman’s compensation medical claim generally covers your treatments.

Massage therapy is widely recognized as effective physical medicine that can help rehabilitate those who have been injured back to pre-accident health. In some cases, it can also be used as a form of natural / drug-free pain management. Massage not only aides the directly affected or injured areas, but it also can help the body to heal holistically by helping it get back to its’ natural state of balance and well being. This is one reason why massage therapy is a great complement to other therapies, including chiropractic and physical therapy. In many cases your insurance benefits will allow you to continue doing these therapies in tandem with massage as needed.

In preparation for your first appointment, be sure to fill out the Intake Forms that were sent to your email address.

Make sure you:

-Bring your therapy prescription, if you have one

-Bring your insurance card or case number

-Bring any relevant diagnostic reports you may have (for example, x-ray or MRI)

-Wear comfortable clothes that will allow me to access to the body part for which you are being seen.
-Please be sure to tell me about any previous Therapy Treatment you may have had, as well as the results.

Be prepared to answer questions such as:

-What types of symptoms are you experiencing?

-How long have you been experiencing these symptoms?

-How did it start?

-What aggravates and eases these symptoms?

During your exam, I may evaluate the following:

-Strength

-Range of Motion

-Flexibility

-Posture

-Mobility and Movement Patterns

If appropriate, I may also perform special clinical tests to help with the Assessment process. After your Interview and Evaluation, I will explain the assessment of your condition and explain the Treatment Plan that has been designed for you.

Holistic healing through medical massage can be a powerful tool in your healing journey and get you back to the activities you love.
